Student Drop Off and Pick Up Information
TWCP STUDENT DROP OFF/PICKUP INFORMATION:
The following information is to help with traffic and the safety of student and parents. We ask that everyone follow the traffic plan so we can provide a high level of safety and consistent traffic flow. Traffic will be heavy in all locations and unfortunately it cannot be avoided. Please make sure that you leave early for drop-off in the morning, you do not drop-off/pick-up in any other location (local business, etc). Also, remember that you cannot utilize The Woodlands Church. We recommend that you read all drop-offs/pick-ups so you better understand the traffic flow. Please remember that our staff is in the different areas trying to help traffic flow and keep everyone safe, and that we all must demonstrate the best possible example for all of our students. We encourage the highest level of patience, respect, and cooperation with each other, students and our staff.
Buses will enter Fellowship Drive and go to the back drive of the school and then drop-off/pick-up using the bus loop. Buses will exit the parking lot onto Fellowship Drive and proceed to College Park Drive. We must keep this area clear so the buses can then run routes for other schools and no child is late. No cars are allowed in this area.
Student drop-off and pick-up is in only one area of the building and that is the main entrance.Front of the school:Cars will enter the main entrance (Honor Roll Drive) and follow the cones to the drop-off/pick-up area.Cars will then follow cones and exit Honor Roll Drive onto College Park Drive. Please make sure that you pull up to the fire hydrant or as far as possible to drop-off and pick-up students. You may also drop-off and pick-up students at the beginning and end of the car line zone. Please do not stop in the curves of the route as it blocks cars from proceeding. We have 2 lanes for traffic. The left lane is for moving and exiting traffic only. This is not a drop-off/pick-up area. Please make sure that all pick-up and drop-offs occur at the curb of the drive so we minimize delays and keep everyone safe. If you can drop-off a little early (6:55) or pick-up a little later (2:45), it will help the traffic flow.
All student drivers will enter or exit Achievement Drive. Student drivers will proceed to their designated parking spot. All student drivers must have completed the drivers safety course on-line as well as apply for their parking permit. No driver is permitted to park in visitor parking or the local businesses. Violators will be towed. Student will access the building in similar ways as in the past if they park in a student area.
The gym area and road access is very minimal and cars other than that of staff are not allowed in that area. Please do not attempt to drop-off or pick-up in this area.
The Conroe Independent School District is excited to announce an online student data validation system for the upcoming school year, powered by InfoSnap. The system is a secure and green process, which allows the district to verify all the student demographic, emergency and medical information for your child prior to the start of the new school year. This first year, you will need to enter information that we do not currently have in digital form, such as your student’s Health Information Form. This online process replaces all the hard copy student registration forms that your child brings home on the first day of school.
On August 1st, you will receive an email from the Conroe Independent School District with instructions on how to access the system for your student. The email will contain a link and a secure “snapcode” that links directly to your student’s information. If you do not have an email registered with the District, you will receive a letter. You will create an account, that you will use each year for this process, and submit a form for each student in your family. To make the process easier for families with multiple students, you will have the option to copy all generic family information to all other students in your family.
We would appreciate all families to take action and complete these forms as soon as possible after receiving the letter/email. Your student’s registration will not be complete until the forms have been submitted. If you do not have access to the Internet, there will be computers available at the school to complete the forms.
We are very excited to bring this new process to the District. We believe that you will find it is a much easier way to update your student’s information each year.
Lunch Drop Off
LUNCH DROP-OFF POLICY:
Safety is the utmost importance for our students. For the safety of our students, ALL lunches brought in to school for your student will need to be signed in at the front office. Lunches will be taken to the AP office for the students to pick-up. Our students know that the AP office is the location to pick up items. Thank you for your help and cooperation.
