Red Ribbon Week: Every Puff Has a Price!
Cavaliers, this Red Ribbon Week, we're reminding everyone that healthy choices lead to a brighter future! Vaping isn't harmless, every puff exposes your body to harmful chemicals, and nicotine can reach your brain in just 10 seconds.
You only get one set of lungs, so protect your health, stay focused on your goals, and choose to live vape-free!

Ms. Siobhan Burns (U.S. History Level Team Lead) drives student growth with relentless energy and purpose. Under her guidance, student performance on assessments has risen significantly year over year. She embodies a growth mindset, constantly refining her craft so that every student succeeds. Most recently, she took the initiative to learn a new tool for creating modified assessments and custom learning resources. Her support for students doesn’t stop at the bell. She attends student events, shows up at every game, and even has buttons made of her players. Her unwavering student support and school spirit set a phenomenal standard for what it means to be a Cavalier teacher in and outside the classroom. Thank you, Ms. Burns!
Ms. Lindsay Hollis (Physics & Revs!) is keeping Cav of the Week in the Hollis family for another week! We are making a point to recognize our new teachers too, and Ms. Hollis is a great place to start. Like Mrs. Sawyers, she is a former student now being recognized as a staff Cav of the Week, which is a special thing to see. Her enthusiasm is contagious, she helps others with a smile on her face, and her students and colleagues love her. We are so glad she is part of our staff and creating a bright future for our campus.
Mr. Jason Thomas (SPED & Athletics) is an awesome re-addition to the CP staff. He has earned constant praise from the teachers of the students he supports, and his own students love him. In his first year as a SPED teacher at CP, he is meeting every deadline, teaching with purpose, and building real connections with students and parents. He is working incredibly hard and is quickly becoming an “MVP of our SPED department.” He is mastering the learning curve in a big way, and we couldn’t be happier to have him back. Thank you for coming back home Mr. Thomas!
Mr. Shannon Winn (Custodial) always has a shining face and will go out of his way to make sure he tells you hello. He is constantly busy doing what is needed, and if he sees you struggling, he will go above and beyond to help. Even outside of school, he’s the same person. A teacher ran into him at the mall a few weeks ago, and he came right up to say hi and ask how his day was. He works hard, he genuinely cares about people, and he deserves a little extra recognition. Thank you, Mr. Winn!

Cavalier Families,
Keeping our students safe begins with awareness and open conversations. Counterfeit pills can look identical to legitimate medications but may contain dangerous amounts of fentanyl. Just one pill can have life-threatening consequences.
We encourage families to talk with their students about the dangers of taking unknown pills or medications not prescribed to them. Remind your student that it is always okay to ask questions, seek help, and talk to a trusted adult.
Together, we can help our Cavaliers make safe, informed choices!

Cavalier Families,
At College Park High School, the health, safety, and well-being of our students are always a priority. We recognize that teenagers face many challenges and pressures, and we want to partner with families to help our Cavaliers make healthy, informed decisions.
We encourage you to review the attached Vaping Prevention & Youth Health Resource Guide and use it as an opportunity to have open, supportive conversations with your student about the risks of vaping.
Prevention begins with awareness, education, and communication. By working together, we can empower our Cavaliers to make positive choices and support one another in maintaining a healthy, safe school community.

Cavaliers,
While the outcome of Friday night’s War of the Woods was not what we wanted, we could not be more proud of our Cavaliers and the incredible support from our College Park community.
A special thank you to our parents, Cavalier Band, Cheer, and Revs for sticking with us through the lightning delays and rain. Your energy, patience, and unwavering support throughout a long evening showed what it truly means to be a Cavalier.
Wins and losses are part of athletics, but Commitment, Pride, Honor, and Success are demonstrated by how we represent College Park regardless of the scoreboard. Our students and community did exactly that Friday night.
We are proud of our team, proud of our students, and proud to be Cavaliers.

Bullying Prevention Week: Who Are Your People?
Cavaliers, every student should have trusted adults they can turn to for help, encouragement, and support.
This week, we encourage families to identify two trusted adults at school and one trusted adult at home with their student. Talk about who those people are and how to reach out when something feels wrong, unsafe, or overwhelming.
Whether it is a teacher, counselor, coach, administrator, or family member, remind your student that they have people who will listen and help.
Together, we can help every Cavalier feel safe, supported, and connected.

College Park is proud to join Conroe ISD in celebrating Texas Standard Day! This year’s theme, “Walking into the Future: Your Future, Your Legacy,” reminds us that the choices we make today help shape the future we create tomorrow.
Texas Standard Day is an opportunity to celebrate the character, leadership, and values that make our schools and community strong. At College Park, we are proud to see our Cavaliers demonstrate Commitment, Pride, Honor, and Success each day as they build a legacy that will last well beyond high school.
